Bespoke furniture is made to last a lifetime. Whether it is a dining table, bedside tables, wardrobe, cabinets or built-in storage, every project is a blank canvas for creativity. Your piece will be made-to-measure, with native UK hardwoods selected with colour, durability and function in mind.
Each piece is handcrafted in my Bristol workshop, using traditional joinery and/or modern fittings where required. Each piece is finished to the highest standard, and stamped with the Sage Woodcraft logo.
FURNITURE DESIGNED AROUND YOUR SPACE
Not every piece of furniture belongs in every space. Your furniture needs to be designed to work for you, and with your existing space. This is why the initial consultation will ideally take place in your home, to enable us to look at the existing layout and design something that works exactly for you.
This is what makes bespoke furniture different. It is designed exactly with you and your requirements in mind. If you need a drawer to be an exact width, or a table to be a certain height, this can all be adjusted to suit. Everything is customisable.
THE BESPOKE PROCESS
1. Consult
Start by getting in touch. We can then arrange a conversation, ideally at your home so we can assess the space and your needs. A rough ballpark will be given at this stage.
2. Design
The design stage takes as long as it needs to to ensure you are happy with your piece. It will involve a combination of hand sketching and CAD design, and we can go back and edit these designs as many times as is necessary.
3. Go-ahead
Once the design is approved, a final cost will be given. I will take a 50% deposit at this time to allow me to begin sourcing materials.
4. Make
Once materials have been delivered, making can begin. This will be completed in my workshop, until such a point as I feel the piece is ready to share with you.
5. Install
When the piece is complete, I will be in touch to arrange delivery and install if necessary. Additional labour or logistics may be required at this stage depending on the complexity of the install. When you are happy, with your consent I will take some photos in-situ before leaving you to enjoy your new piece. The remaining 50% payment will be taken at this time.
6. Aftercare
I will leave you with care instructions for your new piece, but that doesn't mean I'm gone forever! I will always be available for any follow up queries, concerns or repairs in the future.
